Update on my PSA 4.23 test.

Saw my doc this afternoon.
She didn't do a DRE (Digital Rectal Exam...the 'finger wave') because that can actually elevate PSA level for a while.
Scheduled for another PSA blood test next Monday, THEN the DRE.
Then we'll see if further tests are necessary.

I'd done a LOT of research on the web about PSAs in general, possible treatments if it IS cancer, etc., etc.

Me: "I wonder if this is the first step in a long series of steps. I hope not."
She: "Right now we're just having an academic discussion. (smile) The prostrate is the worst organ in the human body. It guarantees that you'll have cancer, sooner or later. Every man who lives to be 100 has prostrate cancer. The good news is that if you find it early it's 100% curable."

I really like this doctor.
She's smart, and she's good at her job.
And today I noticed that she really looked good.
I mentioned it to Miz t. when I got home.
"Dr. XXXX really looked good today. Downright pretty. She used to look kinda mousey."
(Miz t. had seen her last week.)
"She's wearing a little makeup now. Makes a world of difference."

Say what you want about 'women painting their faces', but she really looked attractive.
