I've got stomach cramps - is drinking a cappuccino utter madness?
BTW...I'm a guy. Now I know what women go through once a month...I'm hoping its not food poisoning...

Any suggestions?

1. Lie down or sit still
I find that moving around when I have food poisoning makes things very worse.

3. Well thats just it - it doesnt feel like food poisoning
I don't feel sick to my stomach at all - just like there is a volcano going on inside my stomach. I'm hearing all kinds of gurgling and it cramps up.

However, I could eat a steak no problem. I dont feel nauseous in the least. So far, the cappuccino isn't hurting me...

2. Don't eat or drink anything
If you must drink something, drink small amounts of water or clear soda. You might want to sit on the toilet. If you cannot go to the bathroom, perhaps you might want to try Milk of Magnesia. I am assuming if you are a guy that your cramps are digestion related.

10. The pink stuff helped me the last time I was in that shape.
Antacids just seemed to piss whatever it was off.

6. Coffee made me feel better when I was preggers,
but i realize that's not an item for you...

The caffeine may upset it further. I'd go with ginger ale or 7-Up or Sprite or something clear and bubbly, non-alcoholic.

7. If it was food poisoning you would know it.
Believe me, you wouldn't be posting on your computer if it was. Just relax a bit, drink some Maalox or take some Gas-x.

9. I know, brother!
I had food poisoning two weeks ago (also when I was working on a Saturday) It was a nauseous feeling that got worse and worse....then...well leave the rest up to your imagination.

That was caused by a turkey breast way past its prime (but it didn't smell bad) Today I had pork roast that was opened on Tuesday. That's why it got me thinking.

12. no you don't know what menstrual cramps are like
they go on for a bit longer than what you describe ( can be several days) and also can be pretty intense. But not as intense as labor pains! Sorry, just teasing you. Hope you feel better.

13. Tea would be better
without milk, sugar, or honey. Ginger ale or tea helps too.

16. Oh no you don't know what real cramps are like
women's cramps get into your back and legs too. And then there is the nausea and stomach cramps to go on top of it.

You STILL don't know what women go through once a month!

But thanks for trying to empathize!
