Is biolumeninscence in North Atlantic rare?
Last week in the wake of the IDA Noreaster, for two nights in a row I saw a bioluminscent phenomenom in the waves off the the Jersey shore. It looked like an electric green charge shot through the waves as they broke. I don't know what the organism was that was lighting up the waves, but it was at times really bright. I kept checking the news to see if it was being reported anywhere. Maybe it's not rare, but I had never seen it before.

I did find a video on Youtube that looks like what I saw.

4. I have seen it in the sea. It's fish or marine creatures, small stuff,
or something. Can be very spooky looking. But when you are out at sea, there is no fear. You have to have faith and trust to be out there. In your equipment.
Also red tide. Red tide is a big one here.

5. No it's common. Seen in Chesapeake Bay
If you want to see it, just check out the wake of a boat at night. It's little plankton, etc. they get eaten by jellyfish which get stirred in the wake. Which make the jellies luminescent. It's pretty wild.
