Take Tylenol PM? Generic Tylenol PM?
Because I have allergies to all kinds of sleep meds, my doctor told me to take Tylenol PM. Since I can't get myself to buy the original at ridiculous prices, I have been buying the Target store brand. Exactly the same ingredients at a far lower price. 24 caplets for $1.98. I was doing errands today and forgot to stop at Target for more but looked in the section of Dollar Tree to see what they had. Fine, looks the same. Acetaminophen plus Benedryl, same percentages. Big surprise when I got home. I compared the Target pill bottle with the Dollar Tree. Both read:

Distributed by:

A&S Pharmaceutical Corp.
480 Barnum Ave.
Bridgeport, CT

Certainly the Dollar Tree stuff is a much better buy. I can't imagine the product is any different.

If you want to buy some of that dollar stuff in bulk, they have a web site.

1. Do you need the acetaminophen part?
If you just need a sleep aid, what about one that contains *only* the sleep aid compound? Such as diphenhydramine?

Target has their own branded Sleep Aid that is diphenhydramine HCl 50mg tabs.

2. I need just the sleep aid and I'll check Target's brand.
When the Doc said Tylenol PM, I looked for the substitute for Tylenol. I don't need the pain killer part. Thanks for the tip.
