1. Roy had the most amazing tone.

Made the Tele cry and sing. Sorely missed he is.

2. The guitarist in my high school band was a student/diciple of Roy's -

played a 50's Tele thru an old Magnatone amp, etc....

Roy was a unique guitarist, and a very technically educated musician as well as a great emotional player. He never got the recognition he deserved in life.

I was living in Athens, GA when Roy hung himself and most of the musicians in town (myself included) couldn't believe the news.

The tone, style, and the soul he had was unbeatable.
