Brrr! It's now 53 degrees in the house and my hands are icy. I had oil delivered today--I guess there must be a reset button somewhere...

Maybe it'd be easier to start a fire!

1. Yep, there's a reset button.
Fire is going, heat is on.

Phew.

Brrrr. At least I got some cooking done...

2. it's the pits, I agree
I'm spending the winter in an apartment over a garage. The LR and Kitchen are downstairs and the bedrooms are upstairs. The thermostat is downstairs, and there is no insulation anywhere. I'm having a helluva time regulating the heat throughout.

3. Same.
It's cold! I think this place was built as a summer cabin, and it's never really been updated.

*shiver*

4. I'd trade you if I could. I'm in Southern Texas, and really miss Maine, but I'm also
a Pacific Northwest fan.

5. No deal!
I'm from New England (where this non-insulated place would not be tolerated!) and live in the PNW now.

I miss Maine (and NH and MA) too.

9. Have that furnace checked out by a pro
as soon as possible, that button tripped for a reason. I had that happen to me one day about five years ago and didn't. A couple days later I was on afternoon shift and when I came home the house was full of smoke, the house was a total mess everything covered with a black greasy soot. It cost the insurance company over $8000 for clean up.

8. I don't think so.
Luckily, though, my husband did.

Much nicer in here now!

10. If cold air is coming from an unexpected direction...
it could be a result of a conspiracy by CNN and their "A/C 360" plot.
