Tech (sort of) question about clicked threads
I upgraded to IE8. I don't notice too much difference but the thing that annoys me is that when I click a thread in DU forum the link doesn't change color. If I click a particular post in the list of posts within a thread, the link does change color.

I've searched through all of the settings I can find but can't find anything about this. Am I screwn or is there a solution?

1. My dear Catshrink...
No idea, sorry...

I just got a new Windows 7 machine, with Firefox, and this combo does change the color of the links I click.

It's quite striking, actually.

Do you have Firefox?

It might be worth a try.

3. I cannot speak to specifics but some generals might help point the way
There are two ways to control the link color: the web author specifies it, or you yourself override what the web author designs with some setting in your browser.

Since I don't use IE8 I cannot suggest how to find that setting, but there is always the slight possibility that it's a coding thing on the website side (although the followed links on DU for me change color, so I doubt that's it)

4. Same thing began happening to me when I upgraded OMNI.
It's weird, because it is intermittent. The function has been working fine all day, and just now (I swear it happened immediately after reading your post), everything went back to blue. Everything.

I don't know what to make of it.
