If you were going to live somewhere other than you do, where would it be?
Not like if this were some millionaire vacation fantasy, but if you were going to relocate for a job or something, where would you hope for it to be?

I wouldn't mind living in New York for a while.

Love the people, the weather and the healthcare. Haggis, not so much. :hi:

2. New Zealand - North Island
I like Scotland, too. Except for the weather. Luckily, when I was last there it was hot and sunny and I came away bronzed. And an awful confession. I liked the haggis, too.

The Netherlands is also an option. Maybe even Argentina. France for being so bicycle friendly. Australia for the sun.

29. I was just about to say "New Zealand - North Island"
since my girlfriend lives there. I visited her last Spring (their Fall) and loved it! I think we could live on Waiheke Island, no problem :D

It would take some getting used to having Christmas in Summer, but I'd adjust ;)

Edited on Fri Nov-20-09 02:14 PM by JTG of the PRB
My fantasy location would either be Las Vegas, somewhere on Oahu, or on a secluded mountain ranch here in Colorado.

On edit: Washingtom Statte isn't a real place. :dunce:

I have a little tepee incense burner that I sometimes burn pinon incense in to remind me of Santa Fe. Moving there is a big goal for me. :)

27. I lived in NYC almost thirty years ago.
Have gone back to visit every so often, but have given up the dream to return there to live because I cannot do stairs anymore. Elevators maybe available in some places but most people I knew did not have them in their three story buildings. Yes, my feet/knees/back are that bad. I live in/rent a log cabin because it is flat with no steps at all.

If I could afford it I would like to try Hawaii. If I thought I could survive it I might like living in the Dominican Republic countryside, but needing medications daily and the care of doctors (specialist) might make country living there a little risky. To be truthful, I would like to live somewhere more liberal than here and where I have no siblings or ex-husband.

42. That's the one saving grace so far.
The ability to live on a nice chunk of land in a rural area rather inexpensively. What area are you in?

Actually, I would love to be able to create some kind of industry that would interest and draw more liberals here and tip the balance in this place.

Buddy's a little cutie. :hi:

I'm not going to say NYC. I always say NYC because I didn't want to leave and I do hate it here in DC/MD.

I'd go back to CT, which I always hated more than DC. Frankly, there's a pretty young lass involved and I don't do long-distance. I'm smitten. :eyes: (Why does this shit always happen to me? I never asked to be a romantic.)
