1. My dear Love Bug!
I didn't expect any of those characters!

I expected, and got, the man I love...

Great question, still!

Good morning!

:hi:

5. I'm glad for you!
Sadly, my "Mr. Darcy" turning into "Mr. Wickham." We are now divorced, of course.

3. There's that Darcy chap again!
To quote Robert Hardy from the Emma Thompson 'Sense and Sensibility' adaptation:

"Will none of you look at Brandon now?"

When a relationship of mine broke down, some well-meaning, female pals decided to drag me to Bath for the Jane Austen Costumed Ball. Apparently the numbers are often so skewed between male and female participants at such events, that even the slimiest Mr Collins-type is immediately pounced upon and proclaimed, with great wishful-thinking, a 'Darcy'.

Darcy is over-hyped in my humble (and admittedly heterosexual male) opinion. Colonel Brandon knocks him into a cocked hat.

9. I would just hope for Lloyd Dobler and not end up with Joe
God forbid if I have to write 65 songs about a "Joe" and if I do you will listen to all 65 of them!

10. Nope, I married Darcy and got Darcy.
Money, education, class and good looks do not make the man, I discovered. :(

15. Ah, some of us ended up like Jane Austen.
Though without the six immortal novels that never went out of print.
