3. My 16 year old daughter has quite a collection of swords now.

Our school is Tang Soo Do based and they use "kumdo" insted of "kendo". She's screaming fast with the blades, and she has razor sharp ones as well as practice style.

I remember being taught to think of there being a string between the tip of your shinai and your opponent's neck/face. If there arms go up it "pulls the string" and your tip is "pulled" right in to the waiting space :)

(Ok, I know that a strict physical application of this would result in the tip being pulled out of line. It works as a training aid, though :) )
