2. Saw him at a dive I used to frequent in Norfolk, VA back in '84

3. I remember the whole Long Beach Convention Center standing in their seats (me included)

and screaming OUT GO THE LIGHTS! That was in the late 70's

I saw him in the late 80's in Austin at a place called The Back Door. It held about 300 people. It was the most serious deja vu... everyone standing in their chairs and screaming OUT GO THE LIGHTS!

My guitar teacher way back when was such a fan, and as it turns out so was super-shredder Paul
Gilbert.

5. He was a bit too late.

He hit in '76, right? A brutal blues rocker hits and then four years later music changed. Party rock, punk & post-punk, Dis... Disc-URP, sorry, New wave and other electronica... The world moved away from what Travers does so damn well. Not fair, though.
