Do you think the random people you do not know in your dreams are faces of strangers?

There are a lot of unknown people in my dreams. But they all have distinct faces. I can make them out and know what they look like a good part of the time after waking up. However, none ever look like people I know from my life. Not friends, students, coworkers or family members. Just random people I've never really met before.

Do you think those are the faces of people I've passed in the streets or seen at a sporting event?

Do you ever wonder if you've made some stranger's dream because six years ago you passed them by while walking down the street or saw them on the bus?

Kinda weird to think about.

1. Yes and this seems odd in a way, but they have reappeared

in dreams over the years and I "know" them in my dreams. They aren't anyone I have seen in my waking life (that I remember anyway).

5. I get those same people in dreams...can't fully remember what they look like

10. I don't know where they came from, but I have a recurring cast of characters in my dreams.

I have an entire family who I stay with. I also have some professors from hell.

I started jotting down some of my recurring dreams and was surprised to see certain characters reappear!

11. I think it must be something like that. I have people show up in my dreams all the time who I've

never met in real life. I'm guessing it must be someone my subconscious noticed at some point and filed away for future reference.

I did have something interesting happen once. I am an artist but not particularly adept at drawing humans. I'd sketch humans and they always looked a bit odd, and certainly not like anyone I know. One day a few years ago, I saw a stranger on the street who looked exactly like the way I draw people. I wanted to approach her but it seemed like a really weird thing to say so I didn't.

But, it could be as you say, that you remember the face from people you've passed by. Could be people on TV or movies, for that matter.

These aren't sex dreams, just dreams where I'm hanging out with cool girls, having good conversations and have a fun time with. THOSE are the dreams where I REALLY wish I knew who they were, lol.
