I have the Dare now...I would love to get the Droid. Is it worth it? Do you love it? What did you have before?

3. I love it so far!

I had a standard, run-of-the-mill three-year-old Motorola before - which I liked just fine. I did not even think I would get a Droid, but it seemed like something I would have a for a long, long time.

A lot of phone, for sure. The camera is great. I'm still messing with the MP3 stuff (I'm a total novice about that technology). Basically it's an IPhone for Verizon users with the added feature of a slide out keyboard.

I haven't found anything I don't like - I'm having too much fun playing with it!

6. I'm thinking about ditching my BlackBerry Tour for a Droid...

but the only few problems I have with the Droid is that it's not a world phone, and that's a problem because I'm going to Europe next year. Another problem I have with the Droid is that it's an all digital phone, so if you're not in a 3G area, the phone is going to be pretty much nothing but a paperweight. One more problem with the Droid is that it doesn't have push email service except for Gmail. I'd like to get my other email accounts pushed to my phone too.

All in all, the Droid looks like a sweet phone, but, to me, it seems like it's going to be just another play phone with a bunch of fart apps and not very practical in the business world. But otherwise it'd be sweet.

Edit to add that the Droid doesn't look aesthetically pleasing. Sure, it shouldn't matter if a phone is ugly or not, but I just don't like the look of it.

Well, I have a job - in teaching, so I wouldn't need it for the uses you state. All valid, BTW.

I was more blown away by what it did than by what it looked like, plus this is my first foray into the smart phone world.
