1. Damn, Skippy. That gets the heart racing.
So what did Bale say after he first hit the guy, just before "you....stupid bastard"?

2. "Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now!"
Dorsia being a very exclusive, expensive restaurant in the book/movie.

3. Thanks. Maybe I should watch the movie.
Christian Bale can be really creepy. The violence charge by his mother and sister does give one pause.

5. Oh he's REALLY creepy in this one!
And being a First Person Narrative, you end up 'becoming' him, which makes you feel a little dirty

Also - add to the fact that the movie isn't really about a Serial Killer, but about the 'Consequence-free' 1980's. The last scene is he and all of his friends sitting around the TV, hearing about the pardons Bush I gave over the Iran Contra Scandal. "This is not an exit" is the last line of the book - I wish they had worked that into the movie somehow.

6. My son memorizes movies like this.
I'll save it for Christmas, it will surprise both of the children.

12. They did
During the last scene, just before the credits, the camera pans up to a "No Exit" sign above a door.

11. England has different laws when it comes to domestic violence.
One only has to raise their voice to face charges. Don't know if that is what he did but after reading about his family I don't blame him for having anger toward them. He supposedly had a typical child actor life with controlling greedy parents. He chose to live in America with his father when he was a kid and his mother supposedly got angry and never forgave him for it. Again, I don't know how much of this is true or just one side of a story.

7. I love that movie and book.
You're right, Bale goes so deep in this film. It's so easy to see him as Bateman. Perfect actor for the character.

9. Bale supposedly based his protrayal of this character
on Tom Cruise after watching the other actor interviewed on tv. I don't know if I believe this or not but the article said Bail said that Cruise showed emotion in his voice but his eyes were void of any and this is what he based his performance on.

10. Loved that movie.
There were quite a few good performances in it. It was my daughters favorite movie when it came out, so we watched it more times than I would have otherwise.

13. I alwasy think of the sex scene with "Sussudio" (sp?) playing
It's just plain weird, especially with Bale flexing in the mirror.
