Thanks for the input in the earlier thread on mounting the freakin' huge TV I'm "babysitting" for the next few months.

Holy. Crapola.

I watched a shuttle launch in high definition on a 55-inch screen today. I about fell out of my chair. :wow:

I've changed my mind. Consumerism is where it's at. I'm going to abandon all principles and do whatever I can to get enough money to buy one of these things, even if it means killing puppies or selling my family.

Talk me down. It's amazing how far television has come. :D

I brown-bag my lunch and re-use the brown bags until they fall apart. I live in SoCal and I take public transportation wherever I go. I drink from re-usable water bottles. But I gotsta have my 54" TV with the foot tall basketball players running around on it, and the beautiful yet horrible 3' tall face of Hugh Laurie. My second favorite show is the first five minutes of CSI: Miami. No, I cannot talk you down. The colors. The colors.

6. Satellite TV is pretty cool, too.

Do your homework before you lay out the cash/plastic. If you like music or movies, do surround sound with a subwoofer at the same time.
The one we got will take computer monitor hookups, too - my next thing to explore!
