3. Aack.
Didn't like them at all. Not thrilled with Morningstar Farms version, but more tolerable.
On another note, very annoyed that Morningstar Farms has discontinued their veggie dogs, veggie corn dogs, and "steak-style" strips.

4. Smart Bacon isn't good by itself.
But on a BLT - it's terrific! I fed one to an extreme meat eater and they liked it.

7. MSF uses GMO ingredients anyway.

Click on the last question in this FAQ from thier site: http://www.morningstarfarms.com/faq.aspx

80% of the soy produced for consumption in the US and in Canada is GMO, from what I've read.

6. Does it have the crispy mouth feel of bacon?
I used to use Fakin' Bacon on vegetarian nights but it had a decided un-bacon texture and that limited itself usefulness for me.

8. it does if you cook it right
I don't tend to eat it, or other fake meats by themselves, but on a sandwich facon is pretty good. The trick is to saute it in some oil and let it get crispy and to do so in a decent amount of olive oil. Yeah, that makes it less healthy, but come on - bacon was never intended to be healthy, right?

5. Yeah. If I couldn't have bacon I'm not sure I'd want to continue living.
So yummy.
