1. It may look good, but you have to think. What if/when somebody steps
on one, on the hill, and also pollution. Those balls will not stop til they are all in the bay.
So, I say no.

6. Cars? What about heads? Let's say you are downhill, minding your
own business, having a friendly gaze out toward Alcatraz Island, when here comes a ball at 150 mph, WHAPPP! into your head.
There is one that might not think this so artsy.

8. A (one) ball?
how about 150 balls at 150 mph, lol. Sure hope they cleared the street and paid the city cleaning crew handsomely for that. Then that'd be really cool to see.

Betcha the kids of San Fran were happy for weeks finding bouncy balls that landed in yards and whatnot.

10. CG maybe?
If not, then it sure took a lot of balls to do that.

13. there's a Making Of video
they used 170,000 bouncy balls, releasing them from different streets, etc.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1bEOtpqYpA&NR=1

there's also a point where they just take huge shovel fulls and just release them into the city after filming. Really sucks to be the city cleaning crews after that filming.
