Sad in DC today

I watched the early news this morning and learned that a nine-year-old boy was shot to death in his apartment. He and his family were walking home and a man demanded money. The family ran away from him. They made it to their apartment with the man chasing them and shut and locked the door and probably felt that all was safe. The boy looked out the peephole and the man shot through the door.

2. We had a similar case here last week

With a 7-year-old who was sleeping inside her apartment. They had to contact her father in Afghanistan and tell him that his baby girl was murdered. The thugs who did it were aiming at a car a few blocks away.

3. There is no punishment bad enough.

I swear. Screw "cruel and unusual" -- give 'em the chair. Or the gas.

Well, that's my emotions. It's awfully hard to be against capital punishment when I hear about things like these. It's hard not to be a hypocrite.
