3. as part of the west coast minority, not for three more hours!
Previously unseen footage from World War II, culled from archives and private collections and upconverted into high definition, offers insight into the lives of some of the soldiers, medics and journalists who lived through what has been called The Greatest War. Stars like LL Cool J, Justin Bartha and Rob Lowe give voice to the wartime diaries and journals of those everyday folks whose lives were turned upside-down by the chaos of war. And the veterans themselves offer first-hand accounts of their experiences.

Premier: Nov 15, 2009

As Europe falls under the sway of Nazi Germany, America is unprepared for war and the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor; the Allies take on Axis forces in North Africa and the Pacific. Narrator: Gary Sinese.

Ah yes, apparently WWII began in 1941... :banghead:

After watching "Battle 360" on Veteran's Day I've got a WW2 itch. :-)

ETA: Sadly, no HDTV to watch it on, though. :-(

5. I don't have an HDTV either...
But seeing the films in color, restored, is a treat.

6. It actually makes the past much more "present".
As if it could be happening now, or it happened only when we were a teenager.

:scared:
