COLLIER COUNTY — Collier deputies arrested a Naples teenager on allegations he held a victim at gunpoint and forced him to buy a Playstation 3 at the local Walmart.
David Daniels, 18, of 4th Street, faces felony armed robbery and kidnapping charges.
The victim, Kyle Yarkosky, 18, met deputies in front of the Juliet Boulevard Walmart on Monday evening. He told them that Daniel forced him to buy the video game console moments earlier.
Yarkosky said the ordeal began when he followed a white truck through the gate of Pebblebrooke Lakes, where Yarkosky was to meet a friend. The truck, which had entered using a gate code, stopped before Yarkosky could get around, he said. Two armed men suddenly exited.
One was Daniels, who was armed with an assault rifle, Yarkosky told deputies. The other, an "Asian-looking man," bore a semi-automatic pistol.
After demanding money from Yarkosky and hitting him in the head with the gun, Daniels forced the victim back into his car, and ordered him to take the men back to Yarkosky's home.
