2. Simply reading his writing will make you see Capote in a different way.

I had read this one beautiful story, and I knew that Capote was basically a talk-show joke. But then I read 'The Grass Harp', and came away astonished. Such marvelous, extraordinary writing. It eclipsed the lisping, simpering cartoon character its author had become. For me, Truman Capote is about the writing now, and nothing else. Probably as it should be...

4. My alltime favorite Xmas show.

It does show another side of Capote. His 'Thanksgiving Visitor' is also a great holiday short story.

Capote was Southern although it isn't obvious in most of his work except for a few pieces.
