PIRATE RADIO is a GROOVY movie, man!
Quite a time trip back to 1966: Mod British fashions and a GROOVY rock-n-roll soundtrack! :hippie:

Also, Philip Seymour Hoffman is great as "The Count"! :hippie:

2. Radio Caroline
Being of a certain age i can remember sneaking the radio into bed to listen to Radio Caroline which is where this movie gets it's inspiration from. RC was parked three miles off the coast of Fleixtstowe. It was that or Radio Luxembourg. I'm sure my recollection are somewhat rosie but the music of the day was and will always be just wonderful.

I read about Radio Caroline on Wiki - very interesting! Amazing that rock and roll was banned from the British airwaves for so long!

7. Poachers became gamekeepers.
Quite a few of the Pirate DJs went legit, joining BBC Radio 1 when it started up.

11. I am that "certain age" as well
Couldn't hear it on the US west coast, but I was a young electronics nerd, and read about it in Electronics Illustrated at the time.

5. Very entertaining
I am getting harder to please these days and I was quite pleased with this.
Don't want to spoil anything. Just want to say I used to live with a guy like Bob.

10. I usually don't watch films. Usually not worth it. But this looks like
some fun from the old days. I may have to see this.
Thanks for the tip.
