I don't usually do this, but I'm especially unhappy today and I feel the need to tell someone about it before I explode. So, this ought to be extra special.
I really don't care if people want to try to kill each other on the highway as long as they don't take me or any other innocent people with them. A couple of people in front of me today out on the road got pissed at each other and started playing dodge ball with their cars. I got road rage because of their stupid shit. Here's a reality check people. If you stop suddenly on the highway in front of a semi there's a good chance that you will get killed. Your actions might also mean the deaths of several other people. So pull the fucking cars over on the shoulder and duke it out like real men. I don't care if you kill each other, just leave me out of it. FYI, using a car as a weapon is a felony.
This next one has to do with my job, too. I've been doing a weight loss deal and I have lost 106 pounds. I've surpassed my goal of 185. I weighed in at 183 yesterday. I feel excellent and I look good where I'm at now. The woman running the show noted that my weight loss rate had slowed and said I should weigh 170. She asked me if I was exercising. I told that I unload a semi trailer by hand every night. It takes me two hours and that's all the exercise I need. Then she said that a 30 minute walk with some stretching would be better exercise than unloading the truck. I told her I didn't lose 106 pounds sitting on my ass. She then went on to tell me she never heard of any trucker getting any exercise, basically calling me a liar and calling me lazy.
Listen, if I had a desk job, I'd take her suggestion under consideration. But I don't need it. Here's a suggestion to people who do have desk jobs and have to look outside of work to get exercise: Don't tell people who perform heavy manual labor to take up exercise in their spare time. The woman at the weight loss clinic doesn't know anything about working blue collar jobs. Her husband is a doctor, they own 28 rental properties, and I get the feeling that the weight loss clinic is more of a side project for her. She's not well suited to dealing with workin' joes.
I feel better now. I have 6 classes left at the weight loss clinic, but I think I'm finished there.
