They are all over the place. If I put my feet on the floor, soon enough they're on my head.

3. Indiana has a lot of ants...
We get them every year ourselves.

Terro ant bait seems to work pretty well.

4. I have a bit of a phobia when it comes to ants
I once had a waterbed and the frame was ridden with ant eggs. A few months after I had the bed the ants started to wake up. One moring I awoke to being covered with ants.

So, I tend to freak out a bit when it comes to ants.

6. I had them in my car once
go figure. I got in to drive to work and they were running around all over the place - all over the dashboard - freaked me out - why on earth would they be in my car (no food in it or anything).

9. Sounds like you had a similar situation
Once, at the end of a very long acid trip (way back about 15 years ago), I laid back on my couch, watching the sun come up.

It was great, mellowing experience. I felt at peace with the world...and then I saw the specks of light in my room.

At first I thought, "pretty colors" but then I realized that the specks were moving.

Ends up that a spider had laid an egg and the egg had hatched.

11. Ewwww
Did you run screaming? How horrible for you!

Disclaimer from me about spiders - I can identify them now and if they're not poisonous I don't kill them. They are really good at "disposing" of bad insects.

14. Ewwww...
I can understand your issue with them. :)

Spray now then follow that with ant bait, that's all I can recomend.
Good luck resisting the invasion.

8. Hummmm...all I can suggest here Kheph.....is SPRAY the little buggers...
.....I use Bengal Roach Spray for pests...it's a La. made spray named after LSU's mascot...after you spray it...even the ones you can't see when they cross where you've sprayed they DIE too....and it doesn't have as bad of a smell as most bug sprays do either...dunno if they sell it in your area but it WORKS!!! Glad your hiccups are gone too!!! :)

15. Terro or Raid baits
Find the concentrated areas of ants or their trails and set up these baits. If you have a serious problem, go Terro because though it takes longer to work, it will definitely kill the queen. If it's a slight scattering of ants, go Raid, because it kills them quick and will probably nail the queen.

Make sure you get the stuff they take back to the nest. Try to identify what ants you have--if you have Pharaoh ants, you may be in trouble because they can have dozens of queens and satellite nests, not to mention ant colonies that sometimes number in the millions. :o

:D

16. Well . . according to H. G. Wells . . . .
in his story "Empire of the Ants" . . .

You should dig trenches, fill them with kerosene and light them on fire to hold back the invading ant army.

No?

Okay then, just trying to help :) :) :)

And while we're on the subject of LSD, a word of advice. Never, I repeat NEVER stop and stand under a flashing red half-broken neon light while on large quantities of LSD. Just take my word for it. . . . that is unless you LIKE being surrounded by thousands of little green furry THINGS (for lack of a better description).
