E-mail Forward-a-Thon attempts to raise $1 million for Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
With Veterans Day upon us, how many of us have taken the time to consider how much our men and women in uniform put on the line every day?

Sure, that sounds like a predictable cliche, but that doesn't stop it from being true. Earlier this month, I got to thinking about the veterans who lose an arm or leg or more in battle. The enormity of their sacrifices are so great that it is difficult to adequately appreciate all they've given, but there is a simple way to show our appreciation: By sending a few bucks to the Disabled American Veterans. Their mailing address is:

Disabled American Veterans
PO Box 14301
Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301

The DAV online donation page is at:
http://www.dav.org/donate/Default.aspx

Here's another way you can help. Forward the report below...

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/4599981-email-fowardathon-aims-to-raise-1-million-for-disabled-american-veterans

or tinyurl, http://tinyurl.com/forwardathonforDAV

...to everyone on your mailing list. Open, read, and view all five images associated with the report. If this report gets 10 million page views by Thanksgiving 2009, I will personally donate $15,000 - $1,000 for each day of the Forward-a-Thon - to the Disabled American Veterans.

If 10 million people view the report by Thanksgiving Day, and just 10 percent of those people send a mere dollar, that's at least 1 million dollars raised for a great cause with no one giving more than they can afford. It's the least we can do to show our appreciation and gratitude.
