Shopping, or the decline of Arbusto Baboso's mind.
When I was in college, I could do all my grocery shopping without writing a list.

Then when I started forgetting things, I started making myself lists.

Then I noticed that I'd occasionally forget to put items on the list.

This past weekend I forgot to bring the fucking list itself with me to the store!

Premature senility ain't as pretty as the movies make it seem, kiddos...

4. I'm 48, so maybe it depends on how much you exercise your mind
I may not forget my wallet, but I have walked out to the car with groceries only to walk back into the store to buy the other things I had forgotten to buy the first time through

I don't use a list, but I do try to keep a running total in my mind as I shop, usually rounding up so it's always less when I check out than what I had estimated ;)
