You know, it sucks,
To go to the grocery store, have a list, assemble a weeks worth of groceries, and get to the cashier and realize.....oops, I left my wallet at home. Oh well, I wasn't really that hungry anyway. You have to laugh at such things!

1. I've never gotten that far with the "no wallet" syndrome
but have left it at the register and had to drive back to the store to get it (I had the flu at the time, so most of my mind wasn't there anyway...)

Did they make you put everything back? :P

3. No, they were very cool about it....
It is a natural foods store that I go to about once a month. I offered to put everything back, they told me not to worry about it. I felt bad though. And I am now getting kinda hungry!

5. Yeah, it was embarrasing
Especially considering that my wallet is straight from the episode of seinfield where George's wallet is so big with "stuff" that it actually gives him back problems. So, I should have noticed that I was sitting a bit better today, but I didn't.

6. Well, overly full wallets will give you back problems
at least according to my chiropractor ;)

I don't like sitting on my wallet anyway, so it goes in my satchel.

4. In my youth as a bagger at the store we had a very good customer
who had left her money at home. So we set her cart of bagged groceries aside while she ran home to get some money.
While she was gone someone pushed her cart to the drive-up loading area (this is years ago).
Next car comes up and flashes her cart number at the loader. The loader couldn't read the scribbling that well, so proceeds to load the wrong cart into the waiting car. The original lady comes back, pays for her groceries and pulls up to see only two bags in the cart they want to load in her car. She had six bags.
Well she got free groceries that night from a very apologetic store manager. We never saw her again.

7. They actually offered to do that......
Save my stuff, but my house is about 30 miles away, so I just could not do it.
