I hate Christmas movies about Santa having kids.

Whatever the plot. There are a few out there. You know, Santa has a child (girl or boy), they grow tired of living at the North Pole and join the rest of the civilized world by living a rather pedestrian lifestyle.

The modern Santa image dates back to the 19th Century here in America. So that puts his origin at around the 1820s.

In every one of these movies, Santa's children are in their 30s and 40s. Am I to believe he waited over 150 years to have a child? Or are there other unseen Santa children out there? Maybe hundreds? If that's the case, how fucked up is Mrs. Claus' uterus?

And don't get me started on movies that suggest Santa actually has a brother - who looks at least 170 years younger than himself.

Yeah...I hate those movies.

6. I think I like Holiday themed movies...

You know, Christmas Vacation, A Christmas Story. Christmas is obviously the driving force, but it's deeper.

HATE Santa movies. Think they muck it up.

One thing that has always bugged me about the movie The Santa Clause is how all the adults grow into not believing in who he is - yet he still delivers gifts to their kids!

Do they not wonder where the gifts from Santa came from? They just shrug it off that they appeared under the tree on Christmas Eve?

I guess they could think it was the spouse, but wouldn't they ask? And what if it's a single parent?

THEY NEVER EXPLAIN THAT!

7. One of the worst puns I ever told was when I played Santa Claus one year for the children of
a friend. One of the little kids asked me if Mrs. Claus and I had children. I said yes, and that even they had children. "They call me 'Grandfather Claus'" My friend gave me a sour 'I-can't-believe-he-said-that!' look... :P

8. Yeah, well, it took me years to realize The Santa Clause was a poor pun, too.

9. As a child, I never "believed" in Santa Claus
My parents always said Santa was make believe, and I taught my own children the same.

So I have no problem with any of the Santa movies. I enjoy them. In fact, I like all the corny Christmas movies on Hallmark and Lifetime, etc.

Santa isn't real, so an imaginary Santa can be however anyone wants, okay? If you don't like silly
Santa movies, don't watch them. Problem solved.
