I saw Vic Chesnutt on Friday. What an amazing show.
I had never heard of him before Thursday. He was performing for free at our Art Institute. What a great show and group he had with him. Several members of Godspeed You Black Emperor, Silver Mt. Zion, and Fugazi.

2. Vic is an Athens, GA legend
When I lived there in the early 90's I was in a Black Sabbath cover band w/ him for about 5 minutes before we both moved on. "Isadora Duncan" is my favorite song of his; perfect..

4. On top of it all, he is just a nice guy....
I have met him several times as my best friend is in a band from Athens and actually recorded an album with him. Vic is a great guy, great music. I hope more people become familiar with his music.

5. I met him briefly after the show.
He seemed like a very sincere, sensitive, and nice guy.

6. When 'About to Choke' was released (mid '90's) I drove my friends
crazy by refusing to remove it from my car's CD player. He's not everyone's cup o' tea but I like his stuff. :-)
