My sister is having brain surgery tomorrow. Now wait . . .
. . . they don't have to cut her open. But it is still brain surgery and the docs call it that. She has trigeminal neuralgia. They're going to immobilize her head and shoot at a nerve (that branches out from behind the ear and into the face) with a gamma ray knife for 90 - 120 minutes. :scared:

3. I'm having surgery on Friday
and I won't describe it publicly, but it supposed to be "minimally invasive" and should improve the quality of my life very much Here's hoping my iron count isn't too low for surgery.

because your iron count needs good vibes to stay high enough.

5. Oh Bertha! But please don't worry. They do so much of this stuff
now, especially with laser rays, (or whatever type of ray). They use all these precision instruments with people watching every inch of what happens. I know that is easy to say but it really is true. But I am sending your and her and her light and love too. :grouphug:

15. Good luck! I couldn't imagine what it would be like to have
my head immobilized for 2 hours while a doc messed with my brain. Will she be awake?

Said she plans to take enough xanax to practically knock herself out. I hope it works.

22. BV, Be glad it wasn't done 25 years ago - it's pretty much routine now,
which means nothing if it's you undergoing it. All the best to your sister, you and your family. :hi: mark
