The new "fire safe cigarettes" are awful!
Ugh! I had noticed my cigarettes tasted "stale" and they would frequently go out.
Meanwhile, I have been having a sore throat in the evenings, lightheadedness, and frequent headaches. Then I recalled that the PTB were calling for ciggies to be "fire safe cigarettes".

So I checked online and sure enough, more people have the same symptoms and more.

One person said it is a glue in the paper that does it. I don't know what it is, but it tastes awful, and it is true that the sore throat comes only in the evening. Hmmmm
Good reason to quit, I know.

Guess those electronic cigarettes are looking better and better.

Anybody else smoking this crap?

:smoke:

2. I have been concentrating on losing weight
It is difficult to do both at once. You know, raving lunatic stuff...

I have lost 40 lbs so far, so I am not slouching!

3. Congrats!
My mom quit smoking about five years ago and gained some weight because of it.

But in the end it was needed.

8. Yes they do suck, however
I do wish that they had come up with this 5 years ago. I lost my grandmother to falling asleep holding a lit cigarette. It dropped into her lap and started a fire. She died burning in flames. Not a great thing to imagine your loved one dying like that.
