2. but this is serious, off-their-rockers, wild and woolly crazy ever
since the health care vote was happening / happened yesterday.

I hotfooted it outta there very quickly last night. Waded in to vote on the photography threads. Left promptly.

7. See, usually you can find some reasonable opinion in there
Or at least have a reasonable debate, even if there are a fair share of crazies.

But it's brutal right now - anybody who doesn't agree that this bill is a new Enabling Act is immediately shouted down and unrec'd. You can't even get a word in edgewise.

14. According to my live in trivia expert,
that sacre merde moment took place in Paris, circa 1880's. Don't ask me why, but it was commonplace for train terminus buildings to have two stories or more. Seems the brakes failed on that locomotive and ooooops. Expert says until 20th century most train wrecks were caused by bad brakes or screwed up schedules (two trains trying to occupy the same space at the same time).

10. Yes, and it's all about pissy little egos.
Determined to get the last word in.
And trying to display those failed debating skills.
Cause you know, self-righteousness is such a well-known liberal/progressive/democratic value.

But more than anything, it's all about...."Look at me, look at me...I have a voice and I have a keyboard. And I will be heard!"

12. GD has me confused too
Edited on Sun Nov-08-09 07:09 PM by Generic Brad
Those who view the bill as progress are being called insurance industry loving/Dennis Kucinich hating misogynists. Those who have problems with pieces of the bill are being called pie in the sky liberals who have shifted so far to the left that they have unwittingly lined themselves up with the will of the GOP.

I am scared to express an opinion for fear I'm going to ostracize half of my fellow DU'ers.

16. Weekends generally have a negative effect on their perception of reality.
I suspect drug use.

Probably meth or something else that amplifies their inate meanness.

Stay here till at least Tuesday.
