Should Democrats ban outdoor electric christmas displays to save energy?

I think we should ban and confiscate all christmas lights and other seasonal decorations that use electricity. Maybe also regulate the hours electricity can be used by some businesses - like Fox "News".

I mean all that plastic to make the fake trees...we're keeping America's heartland strong by growing all that plastic and running all the equipment on the fine product produced by America's oil-cows...though as a vegetarian, I do wish more people would support the work of our soy farmers and power and lube their machines with soy-derived oil and gas.
