Saw Poco once, as an opening act ( but for who? ...don't remember) at The "Pit" in Albuquerque in the early 70's.........just googled it, and to my surprise was able to find the show--Jefferson Airplane ( thought it might have been either them or Leon Russell; and it was Sept 10, '72). Memories of the show are a bit of a blur after 37 years ( and no doubt a blur the next morning too) but I do remember enjoying Poco very much , while The Airplane, who is one of my all time favorite bands, was sort of lackluster except for Papa John Creech, who I remember, tore it up. This really is a fantastic version of one of the purtiest songs ever put on vinyl. Hell of a good week; lost my virginity ( and can't find it anywhere now) earlier that same week( although once again, details are a bit blurry; lots of tequila involved though) ....:toast:
