Please I need some good vibes for my puppy.
Edited on Fri Nov-06-09 10:44 PM by EndersDame
I took her to the vet on Tuesday because she had a little blood in her stools. The vet asked me if there was vomiting (and there was no) she thought that it was because the pup has just been having diarrhea and there was some irritation going on down there. She was put an medicine and sent on her merry . On Wednesday I had to induce vomiting because some little brat left a brownie right outside my Apartment door. This morning I saw a tiny bit of blood again in her stool but did not really think too much of it because she has been her normal happy self hyperactive. And she just now vomited. I am taking her first thing tomorrow morning but I am so worried right now

1. positive health vibes for your puppy))))))))))
She'll probably be okay though, it sounds like a minor infection that will pass. Many of my young dogs have gone through this also . I always worried too, but she'll prevail.

2. Throwing up is one of the things dogs do best.
Hold her close tonight and I've got a feeling she'll be fine. Sending good vibes your way.

19. A bike seat.
Aren't puppies wonderful?

Mine ate her leash when she was a pup. (She left the metal portion under the bed).

The "aftermath" consisted of one-inch pieces of leather leash - and of course a few other things.

She liked to roll in shit, too. Any kind of shit was acceptable: deer shit, cat shit, raccoon shit. I never understood the attraction.

7. I am so disgusted by the lack of manners
some people display. If these people at your complex don't finish all the food on their plates, do they just dump the rest on the floor? I hope not.

I always have plenty of vibes for a sweet puppy! :grouphug:

17. Awwww... What a cutie! I am so sorry! I know how scary this can be...
Edited on Sat Nov-07-09 02:56 AM by Rhiannon12866
I usually adopt senior dogs, so when we adopted a puppy, I thought that he would have fewer health problems. Little did I know that there are illnesses that puppies can get... The worst was coccidia, which caused the symptoms that you describe. It's caused by a microscopic parasite and can cause vomiting and diarrhea, sometimes bloody. My guys have had accidents, but nothing like this. We woke up to find the kitchen floor covered, and a very sick and lethargic little pup. :-(

I canceled everything and took him to the vet as soon as they'd see him. I was very scared, since dehydration can be dangerous, especially in pups. But he was diagnosed with coccidia and given a shot and oral meds. The good news is that he seemed to bounce back and feel better right away, back to his exuberant puppy self... :-)

Wishing you the same good fortune with your adorable little one...

Jack, at five months: :loveya:

18. Good vibes sent.
I worried a lot when my current dog was a puppy. She seemed to be very sensitive to food and all sorts of illnesses.

I hope the vet can reassure and help you and the cute pup.

28. Try feeding her several small meals.... a little food at a time...and try to make sure she is tired
before she eats..so she will rest after she eats.

I was told by the vet she does not have Parvo but she is still having stomach problems. On vets advice I threw out old food bought the RX sensitive stomach dog food and she threw it up just before the vets office closed. I bought her Merrick and she has kept it down so far.
