within the next 24 hours a friend and fellow firefighter will die

My friend Eric just retired earlier this year from the fire department. He had medical issues that forced his early retirement. On the 24th of September we had a party in his honor and to wish him good luck. As I speak he is in Intensive Care with a staff infection in the brain that has put him into a coma. The doctors say that there is no hope for his recovery and it is just a matter of time before he passes. I am so unbelievably sad at this turn of events. This is so unfair because he is and was such a good and decent man. We never saw him without a smile on his face and a cheerful outlook on life. That he should die when such evil pricks continue to exist is more than I can stand. I will miss you Eric, you were a great firefighter and friend. I know you will be in a better place soon.

I can always count on your words of comfort. Of all the members I know on this board you are at the top of the list of caring and giving people. We are now preparing for the services that will be held next week. As a testament to the high regard people had for him there will be 2 honor guards, the first will be from our department and the other from the Marine Corps.

The sad thing is that the chief with the help of this medical company screwed him out of half his sick leave hours. His medical problems occurred while he was on duty and under the rules it should've been listed as an Incurred on Duty problem. Somehow this chief has forced people injured on duty to use their own sick leave hours which is supposed to be used for off duty medical problems. Once they're low on sick leave he forces them to retire. Which is what happened to Eric. This two faced clown is going to show up at his funeral and act as though he's truly sorry for what happened to Eric and I know he really isn't.
