Charlie Kaufmann - Being John Malkovitch, Adaptation,
You didn't expect off the charts weird?

3. That's my only reason to see it, Charlie Kaufman
BJM was hilarious, the car accident scenes in Adaptation bothered me (and it takes a hell of a lot to bother me)

4. I'm seeing it tomorrow and I can't wait....
I love Charlie Kaufmann's stuff and enjoy an "off the wall" film 100 times more that the so called Hollywood blockbusters.

7. A serious Jim Carrey.
I like him more in his comical roles. Although I think "Bruce Almighty" did a good job in combining the two.

9. See this movie!
Sorry to bump this, but at least I saw it again, so it's not too much of a faux pas...

This is a great, great film. I'm really speechless.

10. I saw it tonight and thought it was incredible...
I can understand why some people don't get it because it is very deep and takes the viewer to many levels. I wouldn't recommend it to people who aren't interested in real meaning of life/love and thought provoking premises. If you're more interested in the action type films, this isn't for you. Jim Carey and Kate Winslett were at thier absolute best.

13. I would say yes...
but the conversation that took place regarding love, life, and a variety of other topics after the movie was so much more relevant than after most movies I've seen. That, to me, is the makings of a great film.

14. Yes, but no
Yes, it's a "weird" (but easy to follow) movie, but Eternal Sunshine has the immediate emotional connection that's been missing from Kaufman's films to date. And he makes up for lost time in a big way.

It's a heartbreakingly beautiful movie.

17. Good that he achieves emotional resonance in the film
My problem with his work is his approach of "what is real?/what is not?/the unrealibity of narrative" I just find it gee whiz-y and sophomoric. It's nothing new or "post-modern" Plato covered it in The freakin' Cave
