Wisconsin brats at Yale
The aroma of grilled Wisconsin bratwurst will be in the air this Saturday in the Yale Bowl when Yale meets Brown. This is the 3rd year hubby has been doing them at The Tailgate Party...the first year he had leftovers, the second year he ran out, this year we have a bigger supply Fed Exxed from Wisconsin.

Go Elis!

6. Johnsonville? Are you from Illinois? That's the Brittney of bratwurst.
Popular only because it's popular, but devoid of anything that actually makes a bratwurst a bratwurst.

Klements is a much better brand, or any of the many independent butchers who make their own.

10. Well, we have a house in Door County where a small grocer makes their own.
Sort of a family thing. We always get them when we come up there in the summer...it's nice...pretty place.

3. I was definitely hoping this thread would be about the famed sausages
as an alum, the alternative is simply too frightening to contemplate...

5. Oh, we do like Johnsonville brats, but we like the patties...
but it really isn't me, I'm not a WI native. Can't control him (sorry)!

But, hey, we changed the cultural climate in New Haven, CT with the introduction of WI brats to the Yale Bowl where evidently, no one really had before...
