1. I accept their friend requests because I don't want to be a dick, but...
if I didn't talk to them in high school, then why do they want to be friends now?

2. That's one reason why I'm not on facebook
There are two people I knew from high school that I still know. Why would I want to re-friend those I never talked to (or didn't talk to me)?

3. It's up to you to friend, or not friend, whoever you want.
It's fun to see the funny things your actual friends post.

I hear a lot of "anti-facebook" people say what you said. Then they ultimately wind up signing up and then have fun with it.

4. Well, I could have signed up a long time ago
but I didn't. Because I see life differently. To me, if they were meant to be my friends, I'd still know them, whether the technology makes it easy or not. The friends I have now I am grateful for and expect to have them for years to come. Very, very few people in high school were worth having as friends then and I see no need to know them today. If I meet them somewhere along the way in life, in person, then that's how it'll work with me.

And I'm in the phonebook. There's nothing stopping them from looking me up the easy way ;)

5. I have close to 190 friends on Facebook. Probably 5 of them are from high school.

7. Okay, good for you
:)

I just have no use for it. I doubt I've had more than a hundred friends all put together in the last 48 years, and that's including those online friends I call "close". I feel FB has changed the definition of "friend" and it's not a definition with which I agree...

6. I've been slowly acquiring a few high school "friends" on fb.
Mostly casual acquaintances. And those are the ones that never post anything, anyways. I think they are just "networking". Harmless.
