Someone ate all my lettuce!

I suspect me.

There are no eyewitnesses, but the circumstantial evidence is pretty compelling. When I noticed that there was no lettuce in the ice box, I could not help noticing that I had a bowl in my hand. In it were a small fork, tiny bits of lettuce and an oily film on the inside. Further analysis revealed the oily film to be "salad dressing" which is often ingested along with lettuce. Further damning evidence included a drop of salad dressing on my shirt and a vinegary after taste in my mouth. Sources confirm that vinegar is a component of salad dressing. Also, the salad spinner was wet as though it had recently been used. And examination of the trash found an empty can of garbanzos inside the bag that the lettuce came in. A confidential informant told me that I often put garbanzos on lettuce.

Damn, it looks pretty bad.
