Feathers, feathers, I have lots and lots of feathers.
I decided to wash the case on a feather pillow. This is not the pillow case, it is the case that encompasses the innards. It is an old, small pillow my granddaughter uses when she comes to visit. I thought it looked tired and, well, how hard could it be? I slip the end where the seam was and got a bag for the feathers. Explosion. Feathers everywhere.
Good grief, what have I done. Went outside to complete the job. Everything is a mess so why not?
Feathers all over the yard. Vacuumed and washed the little case. I now have to re-stuff it. Heaven--or someone-- help me. After cleaning up all yesterdays mess, it will be a sea of feathers again.
So much for that idea. Lesson learned? Throw the darn things away and buy a new, small synthetic pillow. I'll be cleaning up feathers for a month.
If it was not such a mess it would be funny.
