1. Woot
They hate all day and night, then demand complete sensitivity to their sad feelings when the Yankees beat their asses.

Eat it.

5. for sure
You Yankee fans are easily the most annoying sports fans on the planet and that's saying something. If any one of you fans could tell me how your lives are improved for the better because these overpaid steroid addled bozos won the "World Series" I'd like to hear it. I would feel a lot better if the Cubs had won for at least those fans have gone for longer without a championship than you Yankee fans. Oh and no I'm not a Philly fan or Boston fan.

9. I don't know
The Yankees don't refer to themselves as "America's Team" and their fans as "Yankees Nation" or anything like that.

13. From what my kids tell me and according to Wiki, Red Sox nation
is comprised solely by the six New England states, hardly the whole of America. Connecticut shouldn't be part of Red Sox nation since the southern half is more aligned with New York.

21. The fact that they call it "nation"
means they think it's a national phenomenon, and not just limited to New England... heck, even the local sports announcer and die-hard Red Sox fan had noted that in recent years the Red Sox "nation" had surpassed the Yankees in terms of fan obnoxiousness.

22. Me being a Nascar fan
Stick and ball fans no matter where they're from are obnoxious. I can go to a race and sit next to fans of Gordon, Stewart, Johnson and Kenseth and we all get along fine. Try wearing a Yankee shirt in Fenway and you're pretty likely to be harassed and the same could be said of wearing a Red Sox hat in New York.

16. It's a toss up -- Yankees' fans or Cowboys' fans!
The worst combo is the dreaded Yankees/Cowboys combo fan! (My brother in law, for example.).

23. +1
With a payroll two and half times the league median, the Yankees are quite simply the best team money can buy.

Congratulations, Yankees.

when they didn't make the playoffs!

They did well considering Texeira and Cano were lousy throughout the Series.

12. Hideki Matsui would look GREAT in an Angels' uniform!
I don't like the Yankees, but like Matsui, Jeter, and Posada.

The best team definitely won this year -- what a lineup!

A Sox uniform, perhaps... but I just can't picture Hideki stuck in freeway traffic on his way to the Galleria. :eyes:

He would fit in well with the Angels -- and we could sure use him!!

20. Johnny Damon will be a free agent
He'll look great in a Met uniform. We sure need a good left fielder who's not afraid to get bumped and bruised to make the plays, get the Mets in the postseason, and take Jimmy Rollins and the Phils down a peg.

19. The wrong New York team won the World Series
As a die-hard Met fan, I didn't know who to root against--the Philthies or the Skankees, a.k.a., the champs we love to hate.

Mets in 2010. Let's hope to God the Mets don't go down with all those injuries to our core players that I thought kept them out of playoff contention. Subway Series, 2010?

27. $145 million for nothing
What a disaster the 2009 season.

It was a AAA team, maybe, and I wouldn't put it past AA for some of those starts. Abysmal.
