3. It is the original - got the reissued DVDs last night.
Immediately I noticed a lot of scenes that my favorite shows like The Simpsons and South Park reference.

I'm a Brit and and a little *meh* about it. But He won't miss is so I bought him (shhhh he doesn't know) the 40th Anniversary boxed set of all 17 episodes. WTF, there were only 17 of them?

Anyway, for those contemplating a purchase. Amazon had them for around $140. I bought his on eBay, brand new, same thing for $45. woo hoo.

6. I watched it when it was originally aired here in the States and years ago on VHS.
Also, some years ago it was played after the late news on CBS. I'm surprised it is not being shown online somewhere.
