I'm finally getting around to writing my life story

I've been pondering this for some time, and today at Barnes & Noble I found what looks to be a good book entitled "How To Write Your Own Life Story" by Lois Daniel. We have no kids, so it's not a family heirloom thing - I've just been wanting to write something and this sounds like fun. Has anyone else done this?

I actually did try to write my own "story" once. Only got to age 4, though! lol

and loving it. doing it for my kids mostly, compelled to let them know who I really am (way after I'm gone).
