I just came to the realization one of my favorite bands from the 80's
are as old as I am. I guess you never think about the aging process till you really go looking for clues. They were in their late 20's early 30's in the early 80's too. But the music will never die.............

3. I thought Styx was a Seventies band...
...they were a Chicago area band around 1972-74 when I first heard of them.

I went to see them at the College of DuPage (local community college).

A band I had never heard of called REO Speedwagon was the opener. They played...and played...and plaaayed...and plaaaaayed...

...until it was announced that STYX would not be appearing (they got "lost" on the way to the venue).

So REO Speedwagon went on incessantly...worst concert ever, in my experience.

I stopped paying attention to STYX as soon as I relocated to Los Angeles in 1976...punk rock was the reason.

5. What's worse is when your favorite bands were from the 60's
and the survivors are as old or older than me.
