Are there cell phones you can plug headphones into?

See, I always use headphones (with mouthpiece) with my land phone. I don't like have to hold a phone all the time, becuase of physical issues.

1. iPhone has an earphone jack.
It comes with earphones that have a mic in the cord. Works great.

2. I think most come with an earphone/mic headset nowadays.
Otherwise, most of them are bluetooth enabled, so it's easy to get a set for them. But I think it's pretty much standard. :hi:

6. The last 3 cellphones I've had didn't come with a headset
And a standard headset jack is becoming a thing of the past also. They would rather charge you for a proprietary one. Bluetooth is OK for some things, but I prefer just a standard wired headset. It's one less thing that becomes useless when the battery runs out.

3. There are ones that *I* can, yes. But none into which regular people can do so.

4. Yes, but
...the jack for cellphone headphones is a different size that are common headphone jacks. IOW, you have to purchase headphones designed for cellphones.

5. Need special ones
I can use regular headphones to listen to music, but they don't work for talking on the phone. You have to get special ones that allow you to talk and be heard. The one I have is nice because it has a button on the cord for mute/unmute. Unfortunately the mic is still on the phone, even though people hear you fine if the phone is on your desk or in your breast pocket.

7. I have the Virgin Mobile SuperSlice, that comes with an earplug and mic
plugs into a jack on the phone, very easy...

Of course, loads of phones have Bluetooth capability, which will let you use an inexpensive earpiece/microphone gadget.

I presume you don't need to have the phone in both ears, right? and you'll need a microphone, of course.
