I'm not sure exactly in what manner squirrels go after Chiron, but I can't think of any other word that would fit there syntactically.

2. It's a good word, but the intent of the game is to put ten or more words in the blank

and make a story.

3. No, I'm just going to stick with my one little adverb. It ain't much of a story but I'm a minimalist

As Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "Simplify, simplify, simplify." Later he shortened that to "simplify, simplify."

Later the US Marines shortened it again, but they mispronounced it "simperfy,"  
so apparently the seeming redundancy all along served as a safety protocol.
