Students assaulted by unknown men after fight over costumes

Three Penn State students were assaulted by four unknown men after a fight regarding their Halloween costumes at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of South Allen Street and Westerly Parkway, State College Police Department said.

A man dressed as a purple Teletubby and another man dressed in a white tank top have charges pending in connection with the incident, police said.

A man dressed as a nun and a fourth man remain at large, police said.

Two of the three men who were punched suffered facial injuries, police said.

(was this a gay-bashing? did the gay-themed costume people beat up the people harrassing them? was it just random drunken college boys?)

Woman reports man stole box of candy

A woman reported at about 8:10 p.m. Oct. 31 a man punched her in the arm after he tried to take her "full-size" candy bars during trick-or-treating hours, State College Police Department said.

The man could have been wearing a skeleton mask and was with a woman and a toddler, police said. The woman described the three as a family and told police the man took the whole box of candy, police said.

(you stole candy while you were out with your kid and the kid's momma? Really?)

I remember seeing guys at my alma mater taking bikes off the rack and hanging them in nearby trees, shopping cart jousting in the nearby K-Mart parking lot, even saw a guy taking a leak on a cop car on the way back from a bar one night.
