How do you convert .flv video to .mp3 audio, then edit the audio file
I have an .flv video file which is about 70 minutes long, but I only need the middle 25 minutes.

So is there reliable freeware to convert .flv to .mp3, then reliable freeware to edit the .mp3 file so I can cut out the unneeded parts? I want to transfer it to an mp3 player.

1. No guarantees
But you can try downloading the Camtasia Studio Trial:

http://www.techsmith.com/download/camtasiatrial.asp

It's fully functional trial for 30 days, I know it works with .flv and .mp3 audio, so it should work for you. You can also edit the video and audio streams and save what you need.

3. iSquint and QuickTime Pro is how I do it
You can use Audacity once you've extracted the audio, but it doesn't edit or extract video.

5. I use these softwares:
AV DVD Player Morpher to strip the video out and save as an mp3, and Audacity to edit the mp3.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

Both are free programs and very easy to use.
