Good morning Lounge
How are you today?

How was your weekend? Mine was nice. Saturday my mom and I went to my dad's grave. We have a gardener taking care of it. So it looked all nice and ready for winter. We just cleaned it a bit and put fresh flowers there. In the evening we went to the sauna (my mom's bf has one in his house). And then watched "8 femmes" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0283832/
Yesterday I went and visited a friend in the afternoon. And after a very yummy dinner with my mom and her bf I went back home. The train was actually on time and I was home before midnight.
But I still had some troubles this morning getting up.

1. good morning Miss Honeychurch!
Your weekend sounds wonderful, busy yet relaxing. That photo is beautiful I would love to visit there it looks so serene.

It's cold here this morning. The temp is rising though. 34 when I got up and it's 38F right now.

Another week begins and it's November already!

Florence is such a beautiful city. And it the city Michelanglo made the David. I love Florence :)

It got cold here too. But the weekend we had gorgeous weather in the 50s.

I can't believe it is November already. Where did the year go?

2. Good morning..
This weekend I spent time with my sweetie.. She is playing some dumb CSI game and did so for much of the weekend. I did some local political work (some = very little) getting ready for tomorrows election. I am running for city council, but did not secure the democratic line, so I have very little chance to win (I will be on the ballot as The Working Families Party candidate.
So today work
tonight politics
tomorrow politics

The off for a bit.
A bit of a break..
I think I will get all things straightened out at work so I can relax through the rest of the year..
Maybe run again in 2011.
Maybe start writing - for real..

Anyway,

Good morning!:hi:

4. Good morning/afternoon Miss H
You did a lot more than I did this weekend.
You always post such beautiful pictures.
I wish my country had as much history and culture as Europe.
(Minus communism and the wars of course) ;)
Have a beautiful day and drink something caffeinated  :loveya: :hi:

Your country has some history by now too. And a lot of beautiful nature :D

8. I love America...I just hate a certain % of Americans ;o)
Yea. Well we started off pretty great as a nation :sarcasm:
we brought diseases here and killed off the natives with our boom sticks. :woohoo: :patriot:
Then we rub it in the faces of the surviving Native Americans by celebrating the day it went to hell for them( Columbus day ).
(sorry about the rant) :P Good morning again  I should get to work :P

10. Good morning MissH!
Fabulous picture.

Sounds like you had a nice time with your mom and her b/f. It's nice that you visit and tend to your father's grave.

We had that dreaded time change here, so I'm waking up at my usual time, but clockwise, it's an hour earlier than usual. I'm sure I'm going to be dragging by mid afternoon. But . . . I'll perk up as it gets close to quitting time, b/c I'm meeting a few friends for drinks and girl talk.

Sheesh . . . home at midnight? I think you'll be dragging by mid-afternoon too. Maybe hide somewhere among the stacks and take a little power nap. ;)

Yes, it was a very nice weekend. How was yours? Beside trying to get adjusted to the time change.

I will leave at 4pm today. Seems like the cold is catching up on me after all. Do. Not. Want.

20. Oh no! I hope that you don't
get a cold. It's not fun being sick!

My weekend was kinda lazy. Wasted some Saturday morning time around the house then went to the Farmer's Market, home again and did a few domestic chores. Decided that was enough of that so threw a bunch of logs in the fireplace and read all afternoon. When the logs were beginning to burn down, I'd just add another one. My house got nice and toasty.

Sunday a few more chores and I attempted to watch a football game, but I'm just not into that anymore, so grabbed another book and read.

Yes, a very, very lazy weekend, but very very nice. :)

When you get home, I suggest that you take it easy. Drink some tea, grab some vitamin C and try to coax that cold away.

I've got to head out for work now, so wishing you a great day, and hope that you feel better soon.

Sounds like a good weekend for you :)

Gorgeous photo as usual. Just lovely.

I got my hair cut on Saturday and did some shopping yesterday. Got my normal weekend chores done and that is just about it for me.

Time change yesterday and my inner clock is all messed up.:( That is why you see me so early today.

Sounds like you had a good weekend.

I have to leave early today because there was a plumbing problem in my building over the weekend, and plumbers are coming today to fix it. So I've got to cram a full day's work into a couple of hours.

Sounds like a nice weekend.
Mine was gray and dull. Watched training videos and studied all weekend while my wife did work. We didn't get out of our pajamas on Sat until dinner time. No fun, but had to be done

I'd say 8 femmes is a women's movie :) (I mean only women play in it). But it is fun to watch and I am sure you would enjoy it too. Alone because of all those sexy french actresses :D

Hi MissHoneychurch! I loved that movie - loved Madame Chanel singing this song...
And wow - Fanny Ardant! I know Catherine Deneuve is regarded as an incredible beauty, but I like the way Fanny Ardant looks.

Sounds like a nice weekend, nice to tend your dad's grave.

Sounds like you had a very nice weekend. Mine was a mixed bag. I enjoyed the trick or trunk event in town. The kids were had great costumes and it was great fun. Unfortunately I was involved in a very bad call with my ambulance/rescue squad. It reminded me of the line from the movie, Bringing Out the Dead:

" I realised that my training was useful in less than ten percent of the calls, and saving lives was rarer than that. After a while, I grew to understand that my role was less about saving lives than about bearing witness. I was a grief mop. It was enough that I simply turned up. "

I can't imagine doing what you are doing. I think it takes a lot of inner strength to deal with those situations, no matter how bad they are. So thank you for doing it
